Motivational Monday!

Can you believe it’s basically May??! Only one more month until summer! Which leads me to this quote I found:


It’s easy to think that you need to get in shape for summer and the beach…I even think that way some days…but we also have to remember that being healthy is a way of life, not just a temporary thing to lose a few pounds. It’s a journey to get to a place where you feel great, are confident, and love yourself. Going on fad diets will help you lose some weight, but it won’t be permanent. I’m sure many of you know that already!

There may only be a little over a month until summer, but you have the rest of the year and more to go after your goals and the healthy life you want. That’s not to say you should procrastinate, but don’t view it as a deadline of summer, and then once that’s over you go back to your old ways. I need to focus on this as well!

  1. Yes, love this quote. So important to see fitness as life long priority! Goals for the summer are to maintain fitness and build off of my marathon training from this winter. For the first time in awhile, I’m strong and healthy after a marathon.

  2. My goal for the summer is to keep running, and hopefully complete a 10k! Can’t believe it’s almost May!

  3. You nailed it! I can’t stand seeing ad after ad from weight-loss companies or magazines advocating getting ‘bikini-body ready’. We’d feel so much better if this was about a 365 lifestyle, not a spend a few miserable months barely eating anything then pack it all back on + more after summer ends.
